About This Author

Archie Kay "A.K." Bracken (1884-1966) was served as president at the merger of Peniel College and Oklahoma Nazarene College to become Bethany-Penial College (now Southern Nazarene University). He then served as dean, professor of education, and then vice-president at Olivet Nazarene College. He returned to Bethany-Peniel navigating it through the Depression. He was married to Ida who died along with a young son shortly after child birth. He then married Mattie.
